So everyone knows I'm sick. A lot of people have been expecting this day to come because I've been working 6 or more days a week with only one exception since August. But... the people at work don't want to have me take a sick day. I don't mean my bosses, although they too don't want that to happen. I mean my co-workers.
My coworkers know I produce a lot rather quickly. We do ambulence billing. Our quota is 80 tickets a day. Most can get between 80 and 100. When doing one type of transport I can usually hit 140 in a day. When doing another type, I can hit almost 200. So my coworkers won't let me go!!!
One brought my throat lossenges for my scratchy throat. Another brought me big, white horse pills to help break up any phlem. I brought my own tea and honey to work, so all the other co-workers who are sick keep hitting me up for the sweet stuff. ;) LOL... Before this, the neighbor gave me her quecertin capsules (not very effective for anything that I could determine, btw).
I just think it's so cute... A while ago this department was so stressed and angry at each other because they didn't know one another, never talked, and only knew each other as drones doing a job. They treated each other like machines. But ever since I tried to get them to start talking and I took a few of them (ok 8 others) out to dinner just before Xmas things have gotten a lot better and more loving.
Kinda makes me all warm and fuzzy inside. =)
