spunky,mykey
Mykey loved to tease Spunky, he would pull his chest hair until he'd get ticked off then that cat would chase him. I wish I had gotten video of that but I didn't have video capability back then. Spunky weighted about 16 to 18 lbs and Mykey knew that if he didn't run Spunky would sink his teeth and claws into him. I think Mykey misses Spunky because he has tried to do that to Boobear but she is just too much of a priss pot to let him. Spunky was raised by a Golden Retriever and helped me raise Sophie and Mykey. Photo was taken in 2004.

Thanks, Mykey is the last pup that Spunky helped me raise. Mykey is 60 lbs.

I wish I could have gotten a video of what happened next, Mykey made Spunky so mad that he chased him all round the yard and almost caught him twice. I was laughing so hard I couldn't stop. My neighbor at the time couldn't believe a big dog like mine would run from a cat.

Thanks, Mykey used to love to pull Spunkies chest hair, which would make Spunky so mad he'd chase Mykey around the yard. It was too funny, just wish I had it on video.

Thanks, but I wish I had been able to get what happened next, Spunky chased Mykey all round the yard, then Spunky caught his hind quarters and of course Mykey yelped (Spunky let go) and the look on Mykey's face was priceless, those 2 remained buds for the rest of Spunky's life.

He was just big, I tried to feed him good food. 3 of my kitties over the years were big, usually only about 16 lbs, but Spunky got up to 18 at one point. The vet told me that under all his fur he was muscle.

^__^ I'm flattered, this is one of my favorite shots of Mykey with his "papa", Spunky. Because I was working all the time I didn't get any shots of these 2 together when Mykey was a puppy, Sophie ran interference for him at the time.

Yes, I'm so lucky Spunky was a part of my family for 17 years, he was a special kitty because I honestly believe he thought he was a dog. Hey, he came when I whisled.

Cute shot. Spunky was a very handsome boy. I love long haired cats. They do take more grooming than short hairs. My first generation consisted of all long haired cats. That's because my first cat very kindly provided us with five more cats.

Yes, Spunky was handsome, but as for grooming ... no way, he'd have no part of that, he was my hunter and preferred the company of dogs, in his own way he loved me but he demanded respect and if I dared try to brush him he'd get ticked at me, one thing I've learned is to respect cats, I'd hate those claws and teeth in my flesh.

Thanks, it sure does. Not only is Mykey still a tease with his younger pals, but I can remember that Spunky loved being around him.
I enjoy watching animal interact with each other. We can learn alot just by watching them.
